The Super Jelly Duo comes with:

Super Saturated Barrier Support Serum

Buffer Jelly Barrier Boosting Oil-Gel

Super Saturated is a barrier support serum with 30% glycerin– aka your skin’s fave hydrator. At higher percentages glycerin goes beyond hydration to unlock its unique barrier replenishing and soothing properties. This one-of-a-kind saturating blue goo also has supporting ingredients like polyglutamic acid, bisabolol, prickly pear extract, and niacinamide.

Buffer Jelly is a daily "micro-slugging" oil-gel that coats your skin in a jelly-light layer of barrier boosting protection. 3% petrolatum works synergistically with 0.5% ceramide NP, free fatty acids, and acai sterols to target multiple pathways of barrier repair for serious results in a deliciously lightweight formula, suitable for any skin type.

You can use both products in so many ways… alone, layered, as boosters, mixed together. Feel free to experiment to find your favorite way to use them!

Super Saturated

On clean, damp skin, apply 1-2 pumps. Follow with your favorite moisturizer or oil to lock in the hydration. You can use Super Saturated AM and PM.

Buffer Jelly

Apply a thin layer to your face as the last step in your routine to semi-occlude your skin.

Are Super Saturated and Buffer Jelly vegan?

Yep! Both products are vegan and do not contain any animal derived ingredients.

Are both these products lightweight?

Buffer Jelly is like if a facial oil and an ointment/balm had a baby… so it’s going to feel a teeny bit heavier than a traditional oil, but much lighter than a balm! The finish is soft, emollient, and glowy, without feeling greasy, sticky, or thick like traditional slugging ointments.

Super Saturated is a more concentrated hydrating serum with high levels of humectants. This means it has a richer texture, and a little goes a long way.

When you mix these products together, you get this really nourishing, yet lightweight custom moisturizer. Pretty cool if you ask us!

Is Buffer Jelly suitable for oily, acne-prone skin? How about on top of my acne treatments?

Buffer Jelly was created specifically to relieve dry, sensitive, compromised skin, but we kept all skin types in mind when formulating. All ingredients were screened for comedogenicity, but it’s always safe to patch test if you’re unsure!

Because Buffer Jelly is semi-occlusive, it doesn’t completely ‘trap’ actives and enhance penetration/irritation like pure petrolatum. However, everyone’s skin is different so again, we recommend patch testing if you have particularly sensitive skin.

This is what your skin needs!

I’m writing this after a year of using the super jelly duo and I’m stunned as to why experiment doesn’t get the attention it has very much earned and deserves! I bought this duo when my skin was feeling very dehydrated no matter how much moisturiser and hydrating serums I put on-super saturated serum and buffet jelly changed that for me. Your skin is going to not only be plump but soothed, less red, less irritated. It actually does the job of an anti inflammatory! Experiment has my buy in 100%. We need more brands that rely on their science and their chemists to produce no bullshit products. I don’t need my products to have fancy oils and smells, just for them to do what they say they will for my skin. Love it!

Slowly completing my set of Experiment Beauty.

Super saturated works great as a step after washing my face and before applying molecular mesh moisturizer. I love it at night and completing my regimen with Buffer Jelly a few days a week. Buffer Jelly rehydrates my sad skin after a long day splashing in the ocean at the beach here in FL. Both products are fantastic.
