Is it possible to over-exfoliate with Softwear?
Hydroxycaprylic Acid is the chemical exfoliant that powers Softwear’s smoothing capabilities. This lipophilic (oil loving) AHA has a large molecule size, meaning it has a lower irritation profile than AHAs like glycolic and lactic acid. It helps slough off of dead skin cells removing those dry crusties, revealing soft, smooth lips. Knowing that lip balms are used frequently throughout the day, it’s included at a low, but efficacious level.
Is Softwear glossy? Is it sticky??
Softwear is a true lip balm, not a gloss. It glides on clear with a medium shine and leaves a balmy dewy finish. Due to the squalane base, the formula isn’t sticky– we promise.

This product is so moisturizing! It contains water so it’s actually hydrating versus just occlusive! It’s like the perfect combo between a lip balm and a lip moisturizer. I also appreciate the gentle exfoliation. I found my new face lip care product.

I am really loving softwear. It’s one of the few lip treatments that keeps my lips moisturized longer. Most balms come off my lips so fast. I did give it 4 stars cause wish it was more of a slick, glossy, watery feeling then it truly would be perfect.
